Nicole is an Instructional Designer for The Brooks Group. In her role, she is responsible for designing and developing various courses.

Career & Education

Nicole has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. Before joining The Brooks Group, Nicole started her professional career as a social worker in 2010 for the Indiana Department of Child Services, where she investigated allegations of child abuse and neglect as a case manager, served as Supervisor, and was hand-selected to join Indiana School of Social Work as a Training Specialist. While employed with the Indiana School of Social Work, Nicole assisted in developing curriculum for The Department of Child Services and facilitated trainings to all levels of the organization.

In 2018, Nicole made a career shift by joining a large global matrix manufacturing company where she supported the Talent Acquisition team and the Learning and Development team for the corporate headquarters. Nicole assisted in developing leadership curriculum, facilitated senior leadership training, and (in all her free time) spearheaded and developed the recruiting process for the US plants and corporate headquarters.

Nicole has spent the last three years working remotely as a Recruitment Operations Specialist for a Recruitment Process Outsourcing company to streamline processes and procedures for various clients in their recruiting efforts.

Interests & Hobbies

Nicole resides in Virginia with her husband, Shawn (MSgt Freeman), son Wesley, daughter Winnie, and their Cavpoo Muffin. Nicole enjoys weight training, baking, watching Bluey with Winnie and Wesley, teaching at her children’s school, and snuggling with Muffin while drinking tea.
