In a career spanning more than three decades, Luis has built a record of sales success for a host of companies, with a particular concentration in the dynamic retail and supermarket vertical. Throughout his career, Luis has demonstrated a particular affinity for solving complex business challenges, as well as a passion for mentoring sales individuals and organizations to embrace a solutions-based approach to sales.
Career and Education
Prior to joining The Brooks Group, Luis held a role as a strategic sales consultant, helping businesses achieve their sales objectives. Before that, notably, Luis served as the Vice President of Sales for Goya Foods — responsible for 320 independent sales associates producing $650 million in annual sales. While at Goya, Luis revamped the sales strategy for Goya’s presence at Wal-Mart — an approach that doubled the sales of Goya products at the retail giant in a three-year period.
Luis also has held sales and go-to-market leadership roles at Nestle Waters, Reckitt Benckiser and White Rose Foods. In each stop along the way, Luis inspired his reports and coworkers to focus on the foundational elements that produce personal and organizational growth.
“I have always believed in the power of unleashing the clear and unclear talents and skills that exist in all organizations, and leveraging their infinite potential for growth,” says Luis.
Luis earned his B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University. The New Jersey native recently relocated to Greensboro, N.C., where he resides with his wife and two kids, ages 17 and 14.
