Joe Wilburn is the Vice President of Government Programs at The Brooks Group. He joined The Brooks Group in 2012 shortly after retiring from a distinguished career in the Air Force.
Joe is passionate about strategic planning for public and private global organizations. He provides expert guidance on professional development, sales, and talent acquisition at all levels of leadership.
Joe attended the United States Air Force Academy where he majored in International Affairs. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management. After graduating, Joe began his 26-year career in the United States Military.
Throughout his career, he developed a passion for building high-performance teams and leading organizations. From 2008-2012 he served as the Director and Commander of the Air Force Reserve Recruiting Service. His global recruiting team of 465 personnel, in 160 offices, located throughout the U. S., Europe and Asia, set Department of Defense benchmarks for efficiency and effectiveness. The service surpassed record-high production goals for four consecutive years while staffing the entire Air Force Reserve. Additionally, through the application of targeted marketing campaigns and expert management of a $20M budget, they improved the quality of new hires each year.
In addition to his leadership in the military arena, Joe has held executive-level positions with a private real estate development company, overseeing sales and operations.
