Gary Fly is the Chief Revenue Officer at The Brooks Group, where he brings 25+ years of senior management experience. In his role, Gary is responsible for overseeing various departments and functions including marketing, curriculum design, project management, and knowledge management, in addition to overseeing the Sales Performance Research Center, The Brooks Group’s research division.
Gary’s diverse background gained from consulting with clients in a wide range of industries gives him perspective on the unique business challenges facing clients of The Brooks Group.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Gary’s focus is identifying the needs and challenges of The Brooks Group’s customers and prospects, and collaborating across the organization to design and deliver the most useful and relevant training possible.
Gary obtained a Bachelor of Industrial and Systems Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He also holds a degree in restaurant management from Waffle House University.
Gary has held previous executive level positions, including the VP of Operations for Waffle House with 2,000+ associates. In addition, he built a successful consulting practice specializing on working with growing business with revenue between $15,000,000 and $50,000,000.
After providing consulting services to The Brooks Group for many years, Gary joined the team full time in 2019.
Gary lives in Greensboro, NC with his wife, Lynne. Together they’ve raised two successful children, Adam, who is an Air Force Academy graduate and an A-10 pilot, and Madison, who is studying at UNC Chapel Hill. Gary enjoys traveling, acting as a certified BBQ judge, contributing as a Knight of Malta, and guest lecturing on marketing and entrepreneurship at The Bryan School of Business, UNCG.
