Inside Sales Representative Position

The purpose of our Inisde Sales Team is to further fuel our growth and to help our RVP's of Sales connect with more decision makers. 

Position Purpose

The purpose of the inside sales position at The Brooks Group is to identify and develop sales leads and pass them along to our RVP’s of Sales.

While the work of an inside sales rep isn’t easy, it can be immensely rewarding in that you’ll be getting a crash course in sales from one of the best places to get it: a sales training company. And with our sales career path, you can get into a senior sales role inside of 2 ½ years.

The right candidate for this job will be responsible for making 40 calls per day in order to introduce The Brooks Group’s training programs to decision makers. You will be armed with the right training, tools, and lists to help you to be successful.

Here are the in’s and out’s of the job:

  • Make at least 40 outbound calls per day to introduce The Brooks Group’s products and services to potential buyers
  • Following up on calls via email, social media, and other methods to move prospects through the funnel to qualified appointment stage
  • Articulate The Brooks Group’s Value Proposition effectively and persuasively to generate interest in the company’s offerings
  • Achieve monthly quotas of qualified meetings set
  • Qualify all sales leads based upon specific lead qualification criteria definitions prior to passing leads to RVP’s
  • Update lead information in SalesForce.com to ensure high quality and usable data
  • Work alongside RVP’s of Sales to proactively introduce The Brooks Group’s solutions into industry-specific, US-based accounts. This includes: researching and identifying key contacts; calling and emailing prospects to generate initial interest and setting meetings for RVP’s of Sales
  • Understand the needs of our target prospects and articulate the value that The Brooks Group’s solutions provide
  • Maintain expert knowledge of The Brooks Group’s products and marketing messaging to effectively and persuasively demonstrate the product and articulate the value proposition of The Brooks Group’s products in a clear and compelling way
  • Work closely with the marketing team in developing new ways to increase awareness of The Brooks Group’s products and to evolve and improve the lead qualification process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in related discipline
  • 1+ years of sales development experience or a high level of interest in a sales role
  • A “hunter” mentality - comfortable prospecting, cold calling, and following up on leads
  • Strong desire to win
  • Confident presentation skills, a comfort level with senior professionals and the communications skills to articulate The Brooks Group’s solutions to a wide range of organizational and functional levels
  • Interest in working in a high activity position
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn, to react to and share lessons learned across the organization
  • Good time management with strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of training industry a plus
