I have several years experience in both sales and sales training. Most recently I trained facilitators in a Train The Trainer project involving Coaching skills, while simultaneously training the sales coaches. My background includes actively working in the sales environment and the past seven years teaching sales training and related curricula at IKON Office Solutions. The majority of my time at IKON was spent as the National Manager of Sales Training for a business unit called IKON Document Services. In that capacity, I played many roles; consultant to the business unit regarding needs, manager of sales training for the business unit, delivery of the training material, consulting and coaching. I also conduct a fun, interactive, videotaped presentation skills class. It involves skills the participants immediately put into practice and the class has always gotten great reviews.

I am currently interested in building a network where I can work as an independent contract trainer and contribute positively to  organizations.

I'm new to this forum as well! I am a recruiter with IKON office solutions for Canada West.  I recruit mainly for the IMS or onsite mangement business but have also dabbled in sales recruitment and sourcing.  It's a difficult position to source for I find, I've never had any exposure.  I thought this group or webservice might be a good resource to perhaps attract of connect with other sales professionals seeking new employment opportunities (with IKON of course!).  If I may ask for your opinion, do you think this would be a good resource for me?  Or, do you feel this would not be the right forum or resource for finding passive or active job seekers?  And last question, do you have any thoughts on how else I might be able to reach out to people passioned by sales?

I'm a total stranger, I apologize for all the questions :)  But I'm looking forward to any expertise you can offer!

I am pretty new to this forum too. I have been contacted by some folks who are interested in the contract training services I provide so perhaps it may be a good resource for you, but mostly it is to early to tell. I am very familiar with IMS and the type of sales person needed for that position. Are there ways to network with other divisions such as National Accounts to see if there is interest there? They are used to a longer more complex sales cycle so that could be a start.
